Meet Alex Yates also known as, “AP.”🌷
Alex is a 15 year old girl that was diagnosed with Down Syndrome prior to birth. 93% of babies diagnosed with Down Sydrome in gestation are aborted before birth. This means that only 7% of babies diagnosed have a survival rate till full term. Alex’s parents at the time of diagnosis became empowered to advocate for unborn babies, children, and parents of children with Down Syndrome.
Alex has came to show how the struggles of living with Down Syndrome and the positive aspects of living with Down Syndrome is and can be a normal way of life. She enjoys sports, cheerleading, hanging out with friends, and advocating for others just like her. 💕
Tonight the $5 donation fee at the door will be given full suit to the Team Alex fund/benefit and then donated to The Down Syndrome of Louisville. This is a benefit that Alex and her parents put on EACH YEAR and we are over the moon happy to host the event this year!
Music and benefit begins at 8pm. 🕗
